Our animals

​

We stock a wide range of reptiles, amphibians, arachnids and inverts. All of our live stock are sourced from UK based, reliable stockists or bred in store. We do not support wild caught animals.

​

The welfare of our animals is our top priority and for that reason we will not sell to anyone that does not have a genuine or well-researched interest in a species. Until sold, all the shop animals are our pets, so ensuring they find the best homes is paramount.

Our New Milton based shop should cater for all of your herptile needs, however, if there is something specific you would like that we don't currently stock, we would be happy to order in special items where possible. 

​

It is against our values to sell live stock online but we are hoping to sell enclosure set-ups, decorative items, heat and UV products, substrate and much more in our online shop soon!

 

Workshops and events

​

We will soon be running a range of in-store workshops designed to educate herptile owners both new and experienced. With a strong focus on gold standard welfare and zoo-industry qualified staff we hope to answer any questions and increase confidence for owners.

​

We also offer a variety of handling sessions and animal encounters for groups, both at the shop and wherever you are.

We pride ourselves on the quality of the advice, service and goods that we provide - and it doesn't end when you leave the shop!

Opportunities

​

As ambassadors of education and high welfare standards we are pleased to offer work experience placements, volunteering positions and advice on studying animal based qualifications and working in the industry.

​

We prioritise placements for students already studying relevant qualifications as part of their course requirements, but we also welcome volunteers with enthusiasm and an active interest in animals.

Educational resources

Ensuring that our customers have as much information as possible prior to taking their new pet home is extremely important to us. For this reason we provide care sheets in store, online research tools and workshops which are designed to make caring for your pet easy whilst maintaining high standards of welfare.

Enclosure design

​

When it comes to deciding how to set-up your enclosure, we can demonstrate bio-active environments as well as more traditional styles. We sell everything from live plants, enclosure decor (both natural & synthetic), a variety of substrates and appropriate cleaning materials to ensure your set-up is both practical and beautiful.
