Health Checks

Whether you have just bought a new reptile and want to make sure it's healthy or you have concerns about an animal you already own, we are here to help.

We understand that veterinary bills can be daunting and that is why Imogen has sought expert training in reptile medicine. For a small fee (starting from £15) we invite you to bring your reptile, amphibian, arachnid or invert into the shop for an honest and trust worthy assessment. If the problem is beyond our capabilities to diagnose or treat, then we will recommend one of our specialist vet contacts for further investigation.

General Health Checks

Is your snake refusing to eat? Has your frog began displaying unusual behaviours? Have your lizards' claws grown too long?

Visit Small World Reptiles for a comprehensive health check and advice. We have experienced staff that can advise on feeding methods, abnormal behaviours and even claw clipping!

Animal Sexing

Unsure what the sex of your snake or lizard is?

We are able to assist you in the sexing of snakes - a process that can be intrusive for your pet. Our staff can accurately and safely sex snakes to ensure they experience minimal discomfort.

Sexing lizards can be more difficult depending on the species.

Professional Advice

If our concerns for your pet are beyond the help we can provide at the shop, we will recommend high quality reptile specialists in the area who will be more than happy to assist you further.

Bringing your pet to us first could save you time and money and we will do everything in our power to help you prior to referral.

Please contact us before bringing your pet into the shop

It is important that we are pre-warned about any potential infectious illnesses that may be introduced to the shop. This is a precaution that we must take to protect the animals in store. It will also save you time if the staff member  best suited to deal with your enquiry is not working that day. Please call 01425 561289.
